CaroleAnn Leishman

CaroleAnn started out in performing arts and teaching, and later segued into a career in the construction industry and “green building.” She has worked in various capacities with children, youth and adults to bring out their potential with esteem-building and leadership training work. She has produced and directed many theatrical and musical productions for the stage and ice (figure skating).

CaroleAnn worked for the BC Festival of Arts in 1997 and with the BC Disability Games 2007. She is currently on the Community Task Force for the 2010 Olympic Games Torch Relay Celebration for Powell River.

Though she continues to be involved in performing arts productions on a volunteer basis, CaroleAnn re-trained as an architectural designer/draftsperson and has worked for the past seven years as an architectural designer & project manager. She was certified as a Built Green BC Builder in 2006. Her love of the outdoors and her passion for social justice and environmental issues made her involvement in GreenStep Solutions a natural fit. She is deeply committed to several community projects and organizations, including V-Day, and Pebble in the Pond Environmental Society.
